FYI: ProQuest Resources Downtime

ProQuest databses/resources will be down for maintenance and upgrades starting 10pm Saturday night, 8/24.  During this time, all ProQuest databases will be unavailable.  This downtime is expected to last about 8 hours.

EzProxy Down

Due to system maintenance, ezproxy will be down from Dec 15, 2008 - Dec 16, 2008.

This also means that both on and off campus, the Find It @ FIU links, CitationLinker and the Ejournal Portal links will not be working.  The best bet is to try and access titiles from the catalog, gateways page, or a Google/online search.  Please don't hesistate to call the Reference Desk (305-919-5726 & 305-348-2454) with any questions.

MAINTENANCE: ATLA Serials

ATLA plans to perform network upgrades on ATLA systems 

during the afternoon of Monday August 4, 2008 beginning at 5.30pm.

Due to this work, there will be some interruption of ATLAS service 

between the hours of 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm.

informaworld downtime

From informaworld--
"A short period of downtime is scheduled on informaworld on Tuesday 15th July 2008, 04.00-06.00 GMT (12 midnight- 2am) to allow us to complete some essential maintenance.
Some users may experience impaired performance for a short time after the downtime has been completed. The informaworld team would like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience this might cause."

MAINTENANCE: IEEE Xplore digital library

On Wednesday, 28 May, IEEE will perform planned maintenance
to the IEEE Xplore digital library.

During this maintenance, the system will be unavailable for up to one (1) hour
beginning at approximately 2:00 pm EDT.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
A message will be also posted on the IEEE Xplore home page to alert users.

MAINTENANCE: Wiley InterScience Journals

This Saturday, Wiley InterScience will be performing scheduled maintenance
to their online services beginning at 7am.
They expect the maintenance to last between 4-8 hours.
During this time access to their services and content will be unavailable.

DATABASE MAINTENANCE: MyEBSCOhost

Just an FYI--
EBSCO is planning on implementing upgrades to their MyEBSCOhost feature on Tuesday, May 6...
The implementation process may cause the MyEBSCOhost functionality to be unavailable (this includes the marked folders feature of EBSCO databases).

Other functionalities should not be affected.

FirstSearch databases access problems

In addition to the problems with accessing the CSA databases, we currently do not have access to our FirstSearch per-Search databases. This is a problem on Solinet's end and they are working to fix it, however, they did say that it could as long as Monday to fix the problem.

The databases we are unable to access are:

3. Arts and Humanities Search
4. BasicBIOSIS
5. GeoBase

CSA databases access problems

FYI, there is a problem accessing some of the CSA databases funded by FCLA.
The ones we are currently unable to access are:

3. ANTE- Abstracts in New Technologies and Engineering

DATABASE MAINTENANCE: Literature Resource Center

Access to Gale's LRC has now been restored.

MAINTENANCE: Leisure Tourism Database

Access to the Leisure Tourism Database is currently down, we are working on restoring access.

MAINTENANCE: ATLA

There may be a brief interruption of service for ATLA products on Monday, Sept. 10 between 7-9pm.

This is scheduled routine maintenance.

MAINTENANCE: IEEExplore

IEEE Xplore will be unavailable on Friday, August 31 from 10-10.30 AM.
This will affect all products including: IEL, ASPP, POP, IEEE Enterprise, Power and Energy Library, and Standards Online... They will be performing planned, routine maintenance.
