Here's your official sneak peek to the Hub @ Green Library!  Construction is just about complete, the paint is up on the walls, carpeting is down, and the furniture is starting to get installed.  The space will be available and open to the University community in the coming weeks, but until then check out these before and during construction pics.  ENJOY!

COMING SOON: New Library Website & GL 2nd Floor Technology & Research Hub

WEBSITE: The Library is getting a facelift!  Our website will be moving to a new and improved design in the Spring 2013 semester.  New sections to Quick Links, Popular Content, and collections or projects that are Unique @ FIU Libraries are prominently featured, while familiar links to Ask Us, Research Tools, Off Campus Access, and the Catalog remain. 

In addition to the new look and feel, the new design improves navigation to our services and resources, help pages, contact information, research guides, and other content.  You can preview the site at http://library2013.fiu.edu/ before it goes live.  Please feel free to offer any feedback or comments. 

THE HUB: In addition to the website refresh, the 2^nd floor of the Green Library will also be undergoing a “redesign”!  Construction on a new Technology and Research Hub will begin Spring 2013, during which the area will be closed for renovations.  Computers and tables in the area will be relocated throughout the library during the construction and renovation period.  The area is expected to reopen Summer 2013.

The Hub at Green Library will be providing: increased access to computers in an “open lab” setting, increased access to electrical outlets for laptops/other devices, multimedia conversion and creation stations, a special device/laptop check out and support area, a centralized printing/copying/scanning area, and a streamlined collection of Reference and Curriculum materials!  Stay tuned to the library blog at http://fiulibblog.blogspot.com for updates on the space and other announcements.
